Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of services provided by Niles Dog Lodge. By creating an account, submitting a dog profile, or using daycare or boarding services, you agree to these terms.
1. Nature of Services
Niles Dog Lodge is a private, owner-operated, home-based dog care service located in Niles, Illinois. This is not a commercial kennel, not a licensed veterinary facility, and not a medical boarding provider.
Dogs are cared for in a residential environment with access to a fenced yard and shared indoor space. Supervision is provided, but is not continuous, uninterrupted, or one-on-one at all times.
2. Eligibility and Approval
All dogs must be approved before participating in any services. Approval is based on temperament, behavior, health status, and compatibility with the existing group.
Niles Dog Lodge reserves the absolute right to refuse, deny, or terminate service at any time for any reason, including safety or compatibility concerns.
3. Owner Responsibilities
- All information provided must be accurate and complete
- No undisclosed history of aggression or dangerous behavior
- Dog must be physically healthy and suitable for group care
- Owner must update any changes in health, behavior, or vaccination status
4. Vaccination Requirements
Dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations. Required vaccines may include:
- Rabies
- Bordetella
Proof may be required at any time. Requirements may change for safety reasons.
5. Behavior and Removal
Dogs must be able to safely function in a small-group home environment.
If unsafe behavior occurs, Niles Dog Lodge may remove the dog or terminate services immediately. Owners may be required to arrange prompt pickup.
6. Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge risks including:
- Dog interactions and conflicts
- Injury or illness
- Stress-related behavior
You voluntarily assume these risks.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Niles Dog Lodge is not liable for injury, illness, loss, or death, except in cases of proven gross negligence.
8. Emergency Veterinary Care
You authorize Niles Dog Lodge to seek veterinary care if necessary. You are responsible for all associated costs.
9. Property Damage
You are responsible for any damage caused by your dog.
10. Payments and Account Balance
Services operate on a prepaid account balance system. Funds added to your account are applied toward services and deducted as services are used.
All services are subject to availability and approval. Pricing and policies may change at any time.
11. Cancellations and Scheduling
Cancellation and scheduling policies may be communicated separately and are incorporated into these Terms.
12. Pickup and Responsibility
Owners are responsible for timely pickup. If a dog is not picked up as scheduled, additional fees or arrangements may apply.
In cases where an owner cannot be reached, Niles Dog Lodge may take reasonable steps to ensure the dog’s safety and care.
13. Photo and Media Release
You grant permission for photos or recordings of your dog for operational or promotional use unless you opt out in writing via email or account request.
14. Privacy
Use of the website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
15. Force Majeure
Niles Dog Lodge is not liable for failure to provide services due to events beyond reasonable control, including weather, illness, emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances.
16. Changes to Terms
These Terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, including Cook County jurisdiction where applicable.
